Arbor Fuel awarded as one of the Innovation Pipeline "Companies to Watch" by the Connecticut Technology Council
FARMINGTON, CT: September 17, 2009 - Over 350 entrepreneurs, investors and service providers gathered on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at The Omni Hotel in New Haven for the Third Annual Innovation Pipeline Awards, a celebration of Connecticut's most promising early stage and emerging technology companies that are considered to have the best potential to be a successful enterprise. This event was part of a larger event held that day - the Cantor Colburn/CCAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit, including a northeast angel investor summit sponsored by the Angel Investor Forum.
Steven Henck, President and CEO of Arbor Fuel, said "We are very honored to have won this award for a second consecutive year and to again be recognized as one of the most innovative early stage companies in Connecticut. This award further validates our technology and the work we are pursuing in the biofuels arena."
About Arbor Fuel
Arbor Fuel is developing yeast strains and processes which will enable the production of both ethanol and butanol from renewable, non-food biomass sources. The technology it is developing will produce both bioethanol and biobutanol while helping to alleviate the current unintended consequences of the utilization of food crops for the production of biofuels, such as the production of bioethanol from corn or sugarcane.
